Annabelle Reidy is a photographer based in Brisbane, Australia. She primarily works with analogue mediums and prints her imagery using traditional darkroom methods.

Working alongside a wide variety of subject matter, she is most drawn to harsh natural environments, the ocean, exploring Theravada Buddhist culture (particularly within Thailand) and contextual portraiture. She was raised in Scotland as a child where she likely attributed this inspiration being surrounded by rugged coastlines and old castle ruins. She is also deeply passionate about women’s issues and other social justice based movements.

She has featured in a handful of shows within South East Queensland and in Melbourne. Annabelle has one published monograph titled ‘theboatIrow’, which features Scandinavian/Nordic scenes alongside raw and emotive sentiments exploring a turbulent transition from a career she naively entered into at the age of 17.

Annabelle welcomes commissions or partnerships within Australia and abroad.
